Been reading the thread in vista forum about raid 0 and vista and was surprised by people using raid 0. i alway thought it made next to no difference. Am i wrong or has the intrduction of SATA made this better.

started a new thread as i did not want to hijack the other one.

RAID 0 is often used by people who like games. The data retrieval is slightly quicker since the "write" is to (usually) both discs with data shared between the two. I use RAID 1 which writes identically to both discs and is therefore good for data safety it being unlikely that both discs will go down at the same time.
