Quick data erasing from hard drive

I have to take a drive back for replacement. What is the quickest, non destructive, preferably free application to securely delete private information on the drive? I have Eraser, but it says it will take about four days to do the 400Gb I wish to delete.

Sorry, should have said, the drive is a Western Digital MyBook World Edition, 1Tb network drive, connected by ethernet to the computer via a router.

Depends what you mean by "securely".

If you mean to a mil spec that even the spooks would have trouble with - then I guess 4 days it is.

If you mean to anything that's remotely likely to happen to your drive - then Killdisk free version should do it.

Or Spybot Search and Destroy now has secure shredding in it.
