Hi guys -- i want to upgrade the ram in my pc. The motherboard is this one click here and says it can handle pc2100 ram The ram i want to install is 2 x 256mb pc2700 333 mhz Will this cause a problem ( or actually not work at all ).
Not so much the board won't run at it's full speed - the RAM will only run at the speed the board supports. This shouldn't be a problem as it's only one step up from the supported speed. But much faster RAM (eg 400MHz) might not work well. If you can get 266MHz RAM it might be safer, as the timing specs would be a closer match to the board - which might be important with a "budget" board.
Also, just a point, you say you're upgrading the RAM - I presume you'll be taking out any existing RAM, as you probably know most MBoards can't mix RAM types (if you currently have SDRAM fitted).
