Putting Thundebird calendar on an external drive

I use Thunderbird for email and have two laptops. What I want to do is install Thunderbird calendar on an external drive so it can be accessed by either laptop rather than having to keep two separate calendars in up-to-date.

Does anyone know how I can create a copy of one of the calendars on an exterrnal drive, please?

Thanks for the suggestions, but I didn't find any of these any use. Simplest system seems to be to keep the two calendars in line manually.
