I have just purhased a new laptop but it has no graphics card. So does this mean that I cannot get publisher because it automatically came on my other PC but did not come on this one or is it just a manufacturing fault? It is an Acer Apire 5315

I think Publisher is a program supplied by Microsoft and MAY or MAY NOT be installed by the supplier of the computer.
It depends upon what programs the Computer supplier thinks are either most suitable or required.
You can always buy a copy from Microsoft or try other similar programs.

If you have Publisher on the laptop it will be part of Microsoft Office and is probably a 60 day trial after which you have to buy it.
Serif Pageplus click here does more than Publisher and as a standalone package costs less but if you have Publisher files then you need Publisher to open them.

Graphics cards have nothing to do with it!
