This may be of help, it's not one that I would have thought of but it's true. My PSU blew and I fitted a spare, same power or it was supposed to be a 300watt but the Temperature is 20 Degrees higher on the CPU and about 10 higher for the system. I checked this out after reading last post to this thread click here

I shall be getting a bigger one

maybe youre last psu had a fan or dual fan underneath it helping to draw hot air out of the case.

does this one?

No it just looked the same, the Fan RPM as also gone up by a 1000rpm's in the BIOS

most air is extracted through the psu fans

the ones with a double fan inside the case are very beneficial for cooling

Just a cheap case I bought about 20 months ago with the cheap PSU in it, just the one fan in the back same size as old one

mmmn?

maybe the last psu, although also rated at 300w was giving a higher amperage than this one does.

its always good to look at the label for how many amps on each rail the psu puts out.

all 300w supplies are not rated the same and maybe the new psu is straining where the old one did not.

Makes for a good read, but I am more confused now as I have no wish to blow my motherboard up. and do not no what to buy

0x00000000. are memory error's when two programs are trying to use the same memory. this is due to the order of programs that are loaded from clean install. but if yours is a recovery disc, then you have no options other than the software went on the drive in there fashion of loading. may not be the best
