PSU to work with Gfx Card

still on the disscusion about the
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128Mb card does anyone have this card and is using a 300w PSU or did the PSU had to upgraded to a 400w? cus im confused and nobody seems to know about the own power supply compatibitly to work with this card :S

The 9700 can draw up to 100w if you hammer it.Depends what else you are using.A quality 300w psu is better than a cheap 400w.If you have a 30 quid case the chances are it will struggle.

ive got a psu its a 300w just wondering would that do? and also ive got bout 6 fans in my case.

i would suggest getting a 400 or higher psu seeing as you got all them fans and any other devices that may be in use! seeing as the ati radeon 9700 is power hungry then i suggest getting higher! lol i said this before in your old topic as well! im saying this again cause this is what i recommend though! i know people with this card as well and they run it on a 300 psu and it just cant cope seeing as thier system keeps freezes during games etc!
