PSP will not connect to Livebox

  STREETWORK 21:23 16 Feb 2007

Well, this has had me stumped for a while.

Following the 'book' to connect a PSP wirelessly to Orange Livebox the PSP sees the network when doing the search but does not accept the WEP key. I must have missed summit.

Has anyone managed to connect the PSP wirelessly, if so how, or why can I not get it going...

A virtual prize awaits...

I had problems with PSP - not with a Livebox though.

It wouldn't accept a security key. I had to connect with my security off and download the latest PSP software version, then configure all the server settings manually. I was then able to connect using a WPA key.

OK- tried all this today, but still no connection made.

I can enter the WEP key and that's where it stops, strange that I can get onto another wireless network (someone else's) nearby with no problems...

Do you have mac filtering enabled on your livebox (sorry, don't know the device setup so this may not be possible anyway)?

PSP is 802.11b only , I think , is your router set to 802.11g and nothing else ?

Found out it supports 'g' but is not enabled, I now need to try and sort out how to get the livebox to recognised 'b' as well, thought it would have been backward capable...
