well i'm buying a new computer and i can't decide if i'm going to buy a projector or monitor for it. i really like BenQ's E2200HDA and the MP512ST. the E2200HDA is a 22" HDMI monitor and the MP512ST is a 55" short-throw projector with a 2000:1 contrast ratio can you give me some advice?

Projector lamps cost a fortune and don't last very long.

Get a monitor.

I would with agree with Fruit Bat /\0/\

Most Projector are best used for presentation and watching movies

They also tends to be noisily and generate a large amount of heat and work best in a semi-dark
room

Projector lamps cost about £100-£300 and last between 1500–2000 hours base on the model

Get a good brand LCD monitor that will last you years and can be viewed in a normal lighted
room
