Programming help with Delphi 7

Can anyone here help me with some questions I have with delphi?

I need to have an interface, which is easy, I can do the form.

However when the user clicks the button I want the file to check if cirtain file or registry entries exist, return a result.

Either: Files do not exist!

I would specify direct file names to either find in a directory or in a specific defined place like c:\dodgy.exe

Or: Files exist: What would you like to do?

Leave them? Delete them?

These would be in pop-up boxes.

However if one of the files is running in memory I need the script to close this program down and delete the file.

I also need some where so I can optionaly delete other registry entries if these files are found.

Basically, you are probably wondering why I am asking this.

It's to make a better script of my quick-remover which is done in VisualBasic to remove basic viruses.

I understand the basics of Delphi, but need some more help please.

I changed from VB because, I heard that Delphi is better.

Regards,
Gareth
