What programs freeze, and when etc? If it's Internet Explorer you could try a repair by clicking Start>Run and type:

sfc /scannow (note the space & press enter)

  naughtydevil121 11:05 12 Feb 2005

tried the above still no luck

programmes that freezes are iexplorer, aol, and windows media player.

aol freezes before the sign up.
i explorer freezes on some sites when the page is loading up.
windows media freezes when playing music or video files - but winamp seems to work

i can play games and msn works perfect

Have you tried making all files and folders visible? My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View and put 'Show hidden files and folders' on, and uncheck 'hide extensions for known file types' and 'hide protected operating system files'

Could also try CleanUp click here

  naughtydevil121 15:23 12 Feb 2005
