Program Missing from Start Menu

  TonyW2 19:35 15 Jan 2008

I can access a programme from a shortcut on my desktop but it does not appear under All Programs via the Start Menu
Any suggestions please as to where it has gone and how do I get it back into the list?
(I do have show hidden files activated)

how do you run the program or cant you?
is the program listed in add or remove programs?

I can run it by clicking on its desktop shortcut icon or on its icon on the toolbar but it does NOT show up in the add/remove program list

Click the desktop item with the left button and drag it over the Start button. Wait for the menu to pop up and drag the icon up the menu to where you want it to go and drop it.

If an icon is dragged from the start menu to the desktop then the icon is "moved" from the menu to the desktop but if it is dragged from the desktop to the menu then it is "copied".
