program is blocked by group policy

I cannot run AVG 2014 on Windows 7 Home Premium even though I am an administrator. When I try I get this message: "this program is blocked by group policy, contact your administrator". All my restored systems have also disappeared so I can't restore to an earlier time. Can anyone help me to fix this?

I found the answer myself in a Youtube video. Just use regedit to delete the following key: Local Machine/software/policies/microsoft/windows/safer/codeidentifiers/0/paths

Thanks Jock1e, I realised I had a virus or similar and did run Malwarebytes (also TDSSkiller & Sophos anti-virus). I found a few infections, which were cleared, but still couldn't run AVG. Eventually twigged that although the malware was gone it had changed the registry but the changes wouldn't show up in a scan for malware. Deleting the registry key solved this.
