Intel® Viiv™ Core™ 2 Duo E4300 would be the best choice.
And if selecting a Vista system, you really want to up the ram to 2GB.

If you tell us the budget we could advise further, are you looking for a new system with Monitor ?

\\skidzy yes at the moment my unit or pc is around 4 years old now,ido not play games on it, now and then a dvd film, but mostly for my wild life photographs, and paintings, so what size do you advise, thanks

For photography the amount of memory is the biggest thing, depending on the size of the images of course.
The core 2 duo processor is the better of the two and if it was me making the choice thats what I would go for.
The Intel processor is more expensive than the AMD one you are looking at (about £40 more I think) but its dual core and the AMD one isn't. This would be advantage if you had multiple programs/images open at the same time.
I'd pick the Intel one.
