processer upgrade

hi my computer is old one. pc 100 processer 633 378 pin intel celeron with 128 kb cach. i brought a used pocesser intel celeron 1.1g.h. 378 pin only diffrent is this one got 256 kb cach, the origanal one had 128 kb cach. after i installed the new processer my system will not boot at all. just power comes on . can some one please tell wats wronge. rohel

It could be two things. It may be that the jumpers on the motherboard need reseting for the new processsor or the motherboard will not take the larger cpu.

We can only tell you if you know the motherboard make and model.

hi its rohel my system name ;trigem computer, inc emachines. mother board oem ;intel corporations. bios version 31511, em00007052014 for intel . hope this helps thanks

Your board is a trigem cognac click here It looks as if the fastest multiplier is 7.5 for the 500Mhz 66mhz cpu. click here

So I think your new cpu is to fast for your motherboard.:-(
