Problems with wireless

  Aaron` 21:20 03 Oct 2007

I'm having a bit of trouble with my wireless. I plug my router in as normal and load my laptop up. The internet is fine on the laptop which is receiving the internet wirelessly. Now, my desktop (host of the network) has limited connectivity and cannot connect to the internet.
Could anyone help me out?

First of all , try resetting the TCP/IP stack and Winsock by going to ...start/run , type ( without quote marks ) CMD , then type in to the Dos box ......netsh int ip ip reset.log , and press enter . Then ...netsh winsock reset catalog , press enter again , then type " exit " to shut the box , reboot the system and try again .

That didn't seem to fix it, any other suggestions?

Try turning or disabling the firewall temporarily just in case it is blocking anything .....

That should be " try turning off or disabling "

Just read my first post to you again , and spotted a typo that may have made a difference , it should have said ...netsh int ip reset reset.log ..I said netsh int ip ip reset.log which was incorrect , sorry , maybe you could try the right version sometime ...
