Problems with USB!

I am running, Windows 98 machine and am trying to increase my usb ports from two. I brought a USB 2.0 pci Card the weekend, And had trouble intsalling the drivers.

I ended up reformating my machine, And it seemed to work, But last night when I switched the machine on it would just freeze on loading windows.

Managed to boot in safe mode and the only way I could get it to boot up normally was when I unistalled the USB drivers.

And idea what could be going wrong?

I am partly disabled and have difficulty getting round the back of my PC case, my solution was to run a powered 4 port hub from the back and run my printer/scanner/speedtouch modem off 3 of the ports and run a further 4 port non powered hub off the spare, this works OK for camera/card reader/mp3 player etc

Is your new card using Via chipset?

If so makesure you have hyperion 4 in 1 drivers loaded from Belatucadrus recommended site.
