Problems Printing with Epson 680

I am having problems printing with the Epson 680. During a print run the printer would suddenly stop for no apparent reason. The print run starts all over again when I restart windows (which is the only way to clear it) I am running XP Pro and the latest Epson drivers. Any suggestions as it is costing me a fortune in ink and paper?

Thanks

Mosie

deleting the printer and rebooting - this should get it installed again and may just do the trick for you.

Hi Mosie, the following suggestion is for Win 98 but a similar route should be found in XP.

Go to Start/ Settings/ Printer.
Double click your printer.
Click Printer tab/ Properties/ Details tab.
Check that all details are OK for your printer.
Click Spool Setting button.
Enable Spool Print job.
Enable Start printing after first page.
Enable Bi-directional Support.

Try different Spool Data Format, ie LEMF, EMF or RAW (see what is listed in box)

You may find a discrepancy among that lot which could help.
