Problems with Outlook 2002 since SP2

  puffindog 17:34 03 Feb 2005

Since installing SP2 on XP, Outlook is unable to send & receive mail if the program is left running for more than a few minutes. Closing & restarting Outlook is to no avail. Control, alt, delete and ending outlook.exe (which may be present multiple times) is the only answer. Outlook.exe is using 99% of CPU in processes with outlook closed! I've reinstalled & updated Outlook. MS knowledge is not much help. Others have this problem as it is mentioned on various groups on the web. It seems strange that SP2 foils an MS product.
