Problems installing rewritable drive

Hi ive recently installed a rewritable drive in to my Packard bell club 65 computer, however when i tried to turn on the computer i was greeted with a blank screen the monitor is working as ive checked it. I was told to reattatch my old drive but was still greeted with the blank screen. Any advice would be much appreiciated.

try re-seat ur graphics card and check cables

As Yoda Knight says, check all your cables are securely plugged in. Sometimes, when messing about inside the case you can accidently undo something else. Where are you connecting it to? the primary IDE or the secondary IDE?

Have you set the jumpers correctly? Does the BIOS detect it?

How do i reset my graphics card ?

I think it is installed in the secondary ide, my floopy drive is installed in the primary ide.

What is the bios ?
