Am trying to install a game on cd-rom (windows 95/power mac hybrid).I get the option to install the game, but then get a message saying that the drive i am installing to does not have enough memory. However - it is a 112GB hardrive (directory (c:/) i am installing to and still has 93GB free!I am running windows xp home, have an AMD athlon XP2600+ processor and 512MB of RAM.Any suggestions as to how to proceed????
If you can tell us what the game is, I'm sure someone can tell you. Are you sure the game will run on Xp??
Start, help and choose video and game problems, some older games cause problems and will not run on xp.Regards
It's "The Simpsons - Virtual Springfield"I'm not entirely sure it will run on xp - but it only cost a couple of quid so it's no great loss if it won't.
You could always try it on another Xp machine if a friends got one.
click here according to this link, it will go up to ME.
Thanks for the info Smegs - it was worth a try :-)
Not a pro. Take care.
try running the program in compatibility mode in windows xp. right click on the program then look for the compatibility option and choose the os that the game will run on. hope this will help.
