I have a new computer from a well respected manufacturer but suspect I may have a dud as it keeps crashing and there are error reprts a yard long since I started to sfr my files and setting on Sat. Net result I am preparing to take everything off and neeed to sace files to the ddrws I have. I am told when I try that these unused didks are write protected. I have assumed they need formatting but find it takes an age to do, so much so that I wonder if the procedure has failed. Am I right in formatting the disks for first use and does the task take a considerable time, how long? Disks are Fujifilm and supplied cd burner ( so I presume all to do with producing cds) is Pinnacle. All help appreciated

take it back to the shop.it`s not doing the job which you bought it for.therefore you have the right to a refund or a replacement.
