Problem when trying to open a link in Outlook 2003

Hello all,

This laptop has been runing Vista and MS Office 2003 pro for over 2 years with no problem. This morning it was fine, but I've just been sent a mail from a friend with a link to a web site, I clicked on the link and this message comes up "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator". If I cut and paste the link into IE it works, but clicking on the link gets the message, I went back to an email from this morning with a link that I knew worked and it now gives the same message.

Any ideas what the problem may be and how to fix it.

Many thanks

It sounds as if your friend has given you some malware. run a full virus / trogan check as soon as possible.

If you do not have a checker try any / all of these.

If there is a problem on your system, these should find it.
