Recently Ive bought a couple of programmes to install onto my computer. There is a problem however when I try to start the installation proceedure. Instead of it allowing the installation of the programme onto my PC, I am greeted with a message that tells me that the file "C:\WINDOWS\system32\autoexec.nt" is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.

It isnt just when I try to install certain programmes that this comment appears on my screen, every time the computer starts up it is there! How do I rectify such a problem that will allow me to properly install the programmes on my computer?? Word of notice however, Im not the best at computing so it wud be greatly appreciated if explanations and assistance could be kept in simple language cos I mitent understand otherwise!! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out!

OK I thought I had it cracked, 1 of my programmes installed successfully onto my PC, however a message appeared on the screen telling me that there was a file error and that "GDI.DLL" cannot be found! Would anyone know how this can be fixed? Thanks.

You can download it click here

According the other link that I posted it should go in C:\windows\system

Ok the GDI.DLL file is in C:\WINDOWS\system, however there is still no change to the problem, the same message is coming up any time I try to install?
