Problem removing software

  wids001 15:43 23 Nov 2007

I have a few defunct programs that I would like to uninstall from my system (Alpha 5, Masterfile) but when I try to remove them I get the message cannot find install log. This happens when using either windows add/remove or the uninstall icon associated with the program.

I need to free up space on my hard drive and was wondering if CCLEANER (or similar) would remove them.

Any pointers would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

CCleaner may be the answer.

Try Revo Uninstaller click here very good at prying out those recalcitrant bits.

Hi, Right click on the start and click on explore,

Then find program files/ click it,

You can delete the programs you do not want from there,

PS/ As above use Unlocker to delete them,

...if you still have the source disks, reinstall the programs and then try uninstalling.

i have revo uninstaller on my system but it does not always solve problem try downloading windows install clean up which will get rid of anything that others do not touch. it worked for me with items left in registry that my other programmes refused to clean up.
