Problem with Mozilla Firefox

  Woodlane 14:53 22 Jun 2009

I find that after carrying out a number of internet searches I cannot reopen Mozilla Firefox but find, when I go to restart the computer, that I am told that the programme is still running despite there being nothing to indicate that on the desktop or tool bar. Perhaps I have done something wrong in exiting the programme. Also after exiting I sometimes get a message come up to say the the programme has "crashed" when all I have done is to exit after some internet activity. Any ideas what this is all about?

Try making a new Profile, go to Start> Run and type firefox -P then hit OK. Follow instructions "Create Profile" and then make that profile Default.

I have done as you suggest although it was my default search programme already. I am now "default user" as well and will see if that improves matters. Thank you.

Make the new Profile default, it is irrelavant what you use as default search

Vista and Zone Alarm?

Vista yes, Zone Alarm No. In answer to the earlier message my profile is default. I hope that the problem I had is now resolved.
