After downloading the updated Win Media Player 11, I find I cannot use it to play downloaded video, although it will play video content from my hard drive, I get a message box - Media Usage Rights Acquisition - Error 1001 there has been a login error please retry, it then asks for my e-mail addy and a password. It gives a web addy of drm.geocontent.com but if I try to access it I get a message saying Directory Listing Denied!
What's going on??? and how do I get the damn Media Player to play Video???
Has anyone any suggestions???

You need a decoder,Wmp does not supply it. Why not try this instead, click here it will play any dvd.

Have you Enabled all the File Types from Tools>Options>Tile Types tab?

Downloading the standard version of the K-Lite Codecs Pack will also help:

If you have Vista then appropriate codecs can be found at:
