Problem with a Laptop

I have an HP DM3 Laptop where, every time I switch on it tries to access the Internet using BTOpenZone whereas I want to access via my BTHomeHub.

On other operating systems I have been able to put the homehub at the head of the list so that it accesses that immediately. So far. I have not been able to do this.

Anyone have a solution to this please?

In IE8, click on Tools then set BTHomeHub as default.

john bunyan:

Thanks. But I wonder, as a non user of IE, if there is any way from Firefox.?

Failing that, if I install IE8, do as you say, and then revert back to Firefox would that default still stand?

BTW, that answer was mighty quick 8-))

Tried to install IE8 only to be informed that it doesn't support the laptops architecture (32/64 bit) - downloaded from two different sites but with the same result!

Guess it is Windows 7. Does this help click here?

Thanks for the link. Have followed their advice but time alone will tell if the problem is solved.

Thanks to both.

Having 'fired' up the Laptop several times I'm pleased to say that the problem has been conquered and now my hub is used on each occasion.

Many thanks to you and John Bunyan for your help
