Problem Internet Connection Sharing with AOL

I'm trying to network 2 pc's using windows XP on both systems.Network cards installed and "working properly" on both , connected by crossover cable. I created my Network using Windows Network Setup Wizard
I can access shared documents and print from client to host pc. I've also disabled firewalls but I still can't access the Internet AOL Broadband version 8.0 on client computer. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

There is an option in Windows XP to share the Internet connection. You would have to be logged in as Administrator to enable this share.

It is my understanding that Windows' Internet Connection Sharing doesn't work with AOL.
