Problem Installing XP

  geoff47 16:30 02 Feb 2008

I have had some problems with a PC pre installed with XP Home, that I have no disc for, I do have the serial number.
I tried to re-install XP Professional on it,from my other PC.
To cut a long story short it wouldn't install, Telling me there was a problem with the drive.
So useing yet another PC's System Restore Pack, I managed to install Win 98.just to see if the drive was OK.

Should I be able to install XP home on this PC, if I can borrow a disc ?
I do have the serial numbers on the back of the PC.

Many thanks

Wipe the disk with DBan click here
Yes, if you have a valid CoA sticker you will be able to install using any XP Home CD.
