problem with IE and cross-site scripting

I often find with certain sites that when I try to return to a previous web-page on Internet Explorer (latest edition), the page fails to load, I get a hash type symbol in the top left and this pop-up statement: 'IE has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting'.

Does anyone know how to solve this? Do I need to configure IE to prevent this? If so, how?

All help greatly appreciated.

Patrick

Stopping it is not recommended. For how to stop it and why you may not want to see IE cross scripting

Thanks, Woolwell. Excellent answer - having read the article in your supplied URL and now understood its purpose, I'll stick with cross-scripting. Patrick
