Problem with Graphics

Hi my PC boots fine monitor comes on, then when it get's to load XP up the monitor goes to standby and then carries on loading. Any idea's?

XP Pro with SP1
ECS k7s5a with XP1700 installed
GF4 MX440

Any one?

When the monitor first comes on showing BIOS and initial loading sequence, it is using the basic default drivers but when Windows starts it will need to use the drivers relative to the GFX card. If they are corrupted it might cause your symptoms.

Try booting into Safe Mode to see if you can uninstall the video card drivers and update them.

Sounds like it could be the power save feature or somthing putting the thing into standby mode
try turning hibernate off and also power saving see if that helps also try updating the drivers for the card.
