I recently moved into vista and so far i am happy with it. However i do have a problem. Whenever i try to watch videos streaming or ones i have downloaded the sound is out of time with the video and th video is really jumpy and skips out parts. What is this down to? how can i fix this?

Sounds like a codec problem, try the "K-Lite Codec Pack Standard". click here

I would normally, like MAJ, recommend the K-lite standard pack which I use myself but, as you need Vista compatible codecs, this is why I pointed out the alternative.
