Prob cutting & pasting into Microsoft

  bof:) 17:45 23 Oct 2006

Hi all, I can no longer cut and paste into the Microsoft Works prorgam that came with my laptop.

I attempted today to cut and paste a BBC Food recipe which was only 10 lines long in to MS Works and got the following message:

'The information you copied exceds the size limit for pasting into the Word Processor. Try reducing the size of your selection , and then copy and paste again'.

I tried copying and pasting the same recipe into Notepad,Word Pad and Open Office and was able to do so.

I know I've copied and pasted into MS Works before because I copied my Hijack This log into it sometime ago.

So, why can't I copy and paste into it now?

Any thoughts and help on this will be acted upon with thanks,

Hi VoG™, although I have IE7, I use Firefox as my internet browser.

Should this make any difference?

I've just tried option 2 in the link you gave me and its worked.

Any idea how I find out if I have the latest version of IE7 (beta) because it says this problem was solved in that version.

Thanks for your help,

In Internet Explorer, Help > About Internet Explorer to find the version.

click here to download the final version of IE7.

stupid question where's the 'Help' in version 7? Just so I can check which version I have.

Ah! You need to display the Menu - View > Toolbars > Menu Bar.

oh right, the version I have is 7.0.57006.

I'll go to the link you provided and see if there's a later version.

Thankyou again for your help
