Printing slow using cad software

  Newuser1770 08:51 16 Oct 2007

I am printing to a Sharp Copier/printer using a Cad design package, however when printing on A3 paper it is very slow, If I send multi pages to print the printer waits for each page to be processed first, any ideas on how to speed up things?

Slow as compared to what other printer?
I guess it is all to do with how much cache RAM the printer is fitted with - it can olny deal with a cacheful at a time and CAD is notoriously resource heavy.
It may be use full to research the reccommended printer for the program.

I use to print A3 drawings to an old Epson EPL-N2750 without any problems.

You do not mention which sharp model.
Check out its spec against the Epson's 16 mb of ram.
There by lies the answer maybe

The Sharp is an AR-C262M Network Copier/Printer and has 384mb of printer ram

Well that explains more - over to some one that knows maybe
