Printing Russian

  Creditman 15:49 10 Aug 2007

I want to print some Russian characters, but obvously cannot do this from the standard keyboard. Is there any way I can select these from a special progamme or even a website so that I can then print them ? I went to Control>Keyboard, put Russian onto the selected list of languages & selected it. To my horror when I rebooted & tried to enter my usual password to start Windows it was not recognized & I had a few minutes panic before finding that closing & restarting did the trick so I was able to reinstate English ! Can anyone help please ?

Go to Word and open a new document

From the menu choose Insert - Symbol and up will pop a chart of characters you can select. Scroll down and you will see Cyrillic character.

Select and insert whatever you want, then print in the normal manner.

Go to control panel>regional and language options>languages>details and select Input Language as Russian and Add.
Russian characters will be available for word documents etc.
You can switch between languages by pressing left ALT and shift.
There will be an icon near the tray to indicate which language you are using.

Hope this helps
