I would like to print off a list of file names that are stored on a Cd.

I have 445 files on one cd. I would like to print off the list of file names without having to type them out one at a time into word or the likes.

I have..Winxp..office 2000.
Is There an easy way to do this..any thoughts welcome.

Cheers Lixdexik.

You can do this without downloading anything (just in case you ever need to do it without a net connection).

Open a command prompt and go to the cd drive.

Then just run the command:

dir /B /S c:\cdlist.txt

The /B switch strips any extra formatting and the /S makes sure it does all directories and files.

In the example above it creates a file in the root of c called cdlist.txt.

Missed the greater than symbol out. Should read:

dir /B /S > c:\cdlist.txt
