Printing from Internet Explorer 7

When I try to preview or print a web page from IE7 I get an error message.

Cannot find file ///C:/Users/Admin/AppData/Local/Temp/Low/********.htm

Followed by a second error message:

IE Script Error
Line 2069
Char 1
Error: Object Required
Code: 0
URL: res://ieframe.dll/preview.dlg

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and a network printer. It prints OK from all other programs and my son has another laptop with the same config that prints OK from IE so I'm sure it's a problem with the IE7 installation on my laptop.

OK. I eventually found a fix for this problem. You have to go into Internet Options and uncheck the Internet Protected Mode box. Which obviously reduces the security of IE so is not desirable.

Or use Firefox which doesn't have the problem. Anyway, I've posted this in case anyone else encounters the problem.

Disabling protected mode does work, but it puts your computer at risk. Try running this command from a command line but make sure the directory structure exists first. Reenable IE protected mode and see if printing works.
