Trying to printing a set of wedding place name cards on thin card. Having trouble getting the card to pass through the printer. Sometimes it works others it doesn’t. I know the obvious answer is to use thinner card. But I have purchased this card. My printer is an HP DeskJet 2050. Any thoughts?

Quick and dirty fix - print only one page at a time and manually feed the card in to printer!

Check if your printer has a thickness control. The spec says it should print up to 280gcm. If not then Jollyjohn's answer would probably be your best solution

Set printer to envelope if you can do that, or as suggested check for a thickness setting.

Sorry to be a harbinger of doom. but I had an HP printer with exactly the same problem, and I never did find a fix.

The card was well within the limits of the printer's acceptable media.

I have a Brother MFC-J4700W and it won't feed glossy photo paper even one sheet a time. Paper well in printer's spec

Answer

Thanks all. I managed to print successfully by using the printer setting for Card Envelope and manual single sheet feed of the card.
