Printer Sharing Problem

I'm trying to share a printer (Canon iP4500) on my wireless network between my Vista Ultimate 64 bit desktop, and my Vista Ultimate 32 bit Laptop. The printer is connected to my desktop PC, and I have printer sharing enabled on it. No matter what I do, I cannot get the Laptop to set up correctly.

I think I must have received every possible error while trying to set up printer sharing (drivers not found, and the other one was something to do with a server?), so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have a look at the instructions for installing a network printer in my posting click here

Have you added the 32bit drivers in printer/properties/sharing/additional drivers ? as your desktop uses 64bit ones instead

I would imagine that if you add the 32 drivers in the right place you can then re-set up from the laptop ( add a printer/network printer etc. ) and it will load the 32 bit drivers across the network connection .
