Printer / scanner = Virtual memory Problem

  Ex plorer 11:55 18 Sep 2005

Hi I am trying to install my Pixma iP4000 printer on a new PC but it won’t recognize the printer at the end of setting it up.

The same problem with the Canoscan 5200F.

No problems with other software.

I am getting out of Virtual memory half way through the set up.

Virtual Memory is set at Custom Size, Initial size (MB):576 Maximum size (MB):1152.

Total Paging size for all drives 2MB Recommended 573MB Currently Allocated 576MB.

Running XP home.

Try switching back to "Let Windows manage the Page File", remember to reboot, then try again. If this works you can go back to a custom setting. click here for info on optimizing the page file.
