hican anybody tell me how i can get a printer for windows vista to run on a laptop running on windows 7and if i download a driver where will i find it in my device manager thanksmartan
Win 7 should find your printer and install drivers. Have you tried connecting it to see what happens ? If still problems, let us know what model/make of printer.
hi iscanuti have tried to just plugging the printer in but had no results the printer is a hp photosmart all-in-one model c3180thanks martan
Try the latest drivers click here. I think you have to install them first, then connect the printer - so disconnect the printer initially if connected. Also download & install this critical update if you have similar problems click hereAnd the HP Scan Diagnostic Utility as well click here=. G
thanks for all the helpprinter now up and running on windows 7thanks allmartan
Have you installed the HP software, and if so did you install it before or after plugging in the printer? Most HP installations you do not plug the printer in until the software install programme tells you to.To simply print you do not need the HP software. Just uninstall your printer, reboot and Windows 7 will find, and install, the relevant driver.
As stated in my previous post:"I think you have to install them first, then connect the printer - so disconnect the printer initially if connected."G
