Printer Problem Epsom SC680

  neilmoorman 08:30 27 Sep 2005

A request to print results in full pages of symbols being printed which stops when the printer is turned off. Most upto date driver from Epsom website installed and printer has been reinstalled. Cured the problem temporarily. Message also generated stating there is a communication problem betwen Printer and PC. Any ideas -

Yes you need to try a new Daa cable, as first thing to check. Mine is connected by USB, not the parallel port

Can I butt in. my Epson stylus color 680 doesn't have a USB connection. How do you do this, adapters are rather pricey.

Check the LTP1 Port settings in BIOS.

Well my 680 does have a USB but does not like the Parallel port. Check your computer at the back if looking over the top of the Printer the USB is to the right of the Parallel port

Thanks, I stand corrected. A long time since the printer was installed for me.I can now use it with my new Laptop which only has USB connection.
