Printer connection to a wireless router/modem

I want to setup a wireless network without any PC/laptop being wired. I wish to install a printer alongside the wireless router/modem in a cupboard. Can the printer be connected directly to the router using an Ethernet or USB connection or does it have to use a Wireless Print Server such as a Netgear WGPS606.

Un less the printer has a network connection already (only some large, expensive models) - then yes, you have to use a print server.

If you do not already have the router you can get routers with built in print servers
