Print head clicks during print run

Hi,

Just started getting a print problem with my Canon Pixma iP2000.

The print head clicks during a run & the page printed is very distorted, so it seems that the clicks I'm hearing is the print head sticking.

I've tried cleaning the track the print head runs on, but to no avail. Cleaning the head & bottom plate haven't made any difference either & now I'm getting the dreaded "waste ink absorber full" warning.

Can this be fixed or should I give it up & get a new printer? Could I also be paying the price for using non Canon cartridges?

Cheers.

Disappointing to have had no response yet.

Never mind, guess it'll be simpler to get a new printer.

Thanks anyway.
