Prepairing to format hard drive.

Further to me previous threads, i have decided to take the plunge and format my hard drive.
I was hopeful that my PC was working well after i performed all the advised scans, but alas , i am still having trouble with my system.
It seems particularly slow while on the net and is prone to crashing more times than i can bare.

I am nervous about formating but it will be a good learning curve for me.

I have Window XP Pro , but the disc i have is Service pack 1.
Is it possible for me to get my hands on a Service pack 2 disc ? to save me from downloading it like i did before.

Any advice regarding this issue is most welcome.

nd33 You say your system is continually crashing.
Suggestion, Remove the memory and swap it around ,also remove the cables from the hard drive and mobo and reconnect.

Check all your cables have good contacts,
