I have a PC that is running Windows XP Pro and has recently started to run very slowly, first when booting and then when actually up and running. I have wiped the system and reloaded Windows this made no difference, I have tried changing the ram which also made no difference. I then ran PQ Magic on the PC which brought up a critical error message number 1527 - bad update sequence number. So I repartioned the drive using PQ Magic and reloaded Windows, it was still slow, so I again ran PQ Magic and it came up with the same error message!! ANY IDEAS?
