There is an option called "Pack & Go" in PowerPoint.

(1) Pre Office 2003: From there you can pack your presentation and include a Powerpoint Viewer (you need to select this). You need to pack to a writeable media (e.g. usb disk) first. Then you can creat a autorun.inf file, which is just a text file, you can creat it use notepad, in this file put a line: pviewer.exe xyz.ppt. Then burn this autorun.inf file with files you generated by Pack & Go to a cd. (note pviwer.exe is the powerpoint viewer, put correct name because I do not rememer the name).

(2) If you use Office 2003 and WinXP, then Pack & Go will do everything for you. Just put a CD in cdwriter, Pack & Go

I think the Pack & Go option provides a "read only" copy for presentations. Don't know a way to put it on CDRW to allow alterations.

Readonly is what the guy wants.

My thanks to all. I used JerryJay's solution and it worked fine.
