Hi a while back i was adding a new dvd R/W to my pc and when i was doing the power connections back to the writers i noticed on the cables from the power unit (450w) that 1 of the power connectors was a little different to the others it was more square and had a number on it P4 or P8 if i recall (female connections) i was wondering if anyone could tell me what this one is for.
Thanks for any replys.

I think but am not sure, but most PSU now come with multi connectors either for Pentium boards or AMD boards, and some have a power connector for the graffix card as well.Im not sure what the connector is for but depending on your setup its either to connect to a pentiun mobo or for the graffix card, thats assuming you have an AMD board now.

Plugs to motherboard to power later model CPUs (Pentium 4 was first to require it)
