using xp home sp2 with ms office xp; I have to create a powerpoint presentation, no problem there as have done many, but boss wants presentation on left half of page with comments on right half of page, different comments against different slide, I have no idea, all help gratefully accepted

I assume that this is for handouts?

Make your presentation then File > Print, Under Print What select Notes Pages.

Normaly your comments would not be on the slide bu in Notes under the slide.

If you want to "split the slide" then click slide layout scroll down to Text aand content layout and click on something like the second one to have content on left and text on right.
